The singer from Cerdanyola del Vallès and the double bassist from Cassà de la Selva continue their journey together, once again surprising us with a record inspired by sea voyages and the cultural exchanges they provoke over time.
Nowadays, although we may not travel by ship to discover and learn new cultures, the source of inspiration for the duo has been to create imaginary journeys and musical fusions that give meaning to each of the songs on this album.
Returning to our origins after a journey where we have learned new rhythms and melodies strengthens our roots and provides a foundation that can transform without losing its essence. In this way, without detaching from the present moment, the message endures over time. It is a declaration of intent.
We are presented with a fresh, original, and mature album, where the instrumental part is no longer limited to Manel Fortià’s double bass as in the previous album, «Fang i Núvols» (2020). Here, the percussion of David Domínguez, along with flutes, voices, bass ukulele, and other small percussions, join the group’s sound spectrum to make Magalí Sare’s voice shine more intensely and give character to this sound universe of Ibero-American folklore adapted to the 21st century.
